Cuisinart DLC-7SFP Pro Food Prep Center 14-Cup Food Processor Review

Cuisinart DLC-7SFP Pro Food Prep Center 14-Cup Food Processor
Average Reviews:

Although this food processor is great when it works, many of the parts are subject to frequent breaking and are very costly to replace. I have replaced the stem three times in ten years or so. I have replaced the bowl once, and one of the blades has broken twice. The motor has held up fine despite all the parts breaking along the way. I have given up paying premium prices to replace parts. I am looking for an alternative which will offer me as large a bowl as this.

Durabrand Sandwich Maker Review

Durabrand Sandwich Maker

This is a piece of JUNK sandwich maker. As the other review says - a total waste. It heats unevenly and the latch won't catch. I made one sandwich - it was overcooked on one side and not cooked at all on the other. The only good thing about it is that I bought it from Walmart - so hopefully returning it shouldn't be a problem. Just hate to send this to another hapless consumer of cheap Chinese trash. Really, the correct place to send this is back to China.

KitchenAid KV25G0X Stand Mixer, 5 Qt. Pro 5 Plus Review

KitchenAid KV25G0X Stand Mixer, 5 Qt. Pro 5 Plus

This is my third KitchenAid - not because they have worn out, but because I donate my old ones to my children who can't afford one right now. I wouldn't use any other brand than KitchenAid especially for a mixer. I just used the bread dough hook this week to make cinnamon rolls and it worked marvelous - the rolls came out light and tender and delicious. I'm 71 years old and KitchenAid Mixers are fairly heavy, but I have mine stored close to the counter so I don't have to lift it very far. My mother gave me hers when I was first starting house and I have had one every since. This model is great if you are a heavy baker. Some models are more for just cakes mixes and mashing potatoes, but this one will do it all!

The product was used when it claimed to be new. When I returned it, they said they never received it and I accidentally forgot to get the tracking number. Now I am without my money or the gross used meat grinder. I am so annoyed by this that I do not think I will purchase from Amazon again. The one star is because I cannot give 0.

Ninja Quad Blade Food & Drink Maker Review

Ninja Quad Blade Food and Drink Maker
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The blades on this machine to be EXTREMELY, (and I do mean EXTREMELY) S-H-A-R-P.! Think of the sharpest blade you have ever come across -- a razor-blade, or very, very sharp knife -- and you will have some idea of the EXTREME sharpness of these blades. Yep -- even I knicked myself on these blades, before I realized how very, very, VERY sharp they are. Of course, this exteme sharpness makes for extremely good and powerful cutting action -- but one should be aware of this sharpness before purchasing this item, especially if there are small children in the house, who usually have NO limits at all on their curiousity and mischieveness.
These blades cut VERY well, and do every job advertised! Some blenders do their jobs by having a large wattage or ampere rating -- but the Ninja does it with very, very sharp blades. It is more powerful, in making my prized receipe for thick, heavy salmon moule, than even my beloved Vita Mix 5200, (a great machine....for most things.) Just be sure to "prep" the Ninja first, by pulsing a few times to break up the batter a bit first. Those sharp blades sure know to chop things up, and usually, no water or liquid at all is needed! Amazing!
On the negative side, though, it must be mentioned that both the large set of blades, (which fit into the larger blender-size container), and the small set of blades, (which fit into the mini-container), come in TWO SEPARATE PARTS. So, you get a total of four
blade parts. THE BLADE PARTS MUST BE FITTED TOGETHER FIRST, AND/OR DROPPED SEPARATELY, ON TOP OF EACH OTHER, INTO THE APPROPRIATE CONTAINER. Why EURO-PRO did not put both blade parts together, so the user would have only one blade-part to put into each container, is beyond me. The half-blade parts are obviously smaller, and are easier to lose, in both dishwasher or with hand-washing. There is also a small rubbery-plastic part that fits into bowl part, where the blade is dropped in. It is very small and easy to lose, and if it's lost, it's impossible to put the blades in properly.
The main difference, (the only difference, as far as I can see, anyway), between this item and the Euro-Pro QB900 Ninja Master Prep, also offered here on Amazon, is that the item here will give you two extra mini-blend containers for an extra $10.
Also, the "Master Pod" top part is rather heavy, compared to the rest of the set. After all, the hand-held "Master Pod" is where the motor
is housed! It takes a bit of getting used to, holding this comparatively heavy part, (roughly weighing about a pound-and-a-half), and, though handling this part shouldn't be any trouble at all for normally-abled people, if you're handicapped, and sometimes find it hard to lift anything even as light as a pound and a half, I'd think twice about buying this admittedly nifty little machine. Also, one must always KEEP one's finger pressed down ON the "Master Pod" button, to make the Ninja blender work. Because of the power and sharpness of the blades, oen doesn't really have to keep one's finger on the Master Pod button very long -- but if this is problem, please be aware of it. Unlike traditional blenders, or even the "Magic Bullet" machines, one CANNOT use the "Ninja" Blender unless constantly attending to it and pressing down on the top button...I've also found that preparing a VERY SMALL amount of food is impossible in this machine, because the blades -- unlike those of most other blenders I've used -- do NOT reach all the way to the bottom of the containers-- even the mini-containers. In this, it's just like the Vitamix. What do I mean by a small amount? Well, you can't mix one or two eggs in either of the NINJA containers -- because they will not even reach the bottom blade, which is about an inch from the bottom of the container. For mixing such little amounts, use a conventional, "Osterizer/ Waring" type blender, or the "Magic Bullet" series of blenders. This is an important fact to remember, as so many people live by themselves these days, and sometimes only WANT to mix only one or two eggs, etc.
But the NINJA does the job -- all its jobs -- so very well. Just keep its few short-comings in mind before you decide if this machine is really the one for you. Just like Ninja warriors, it's fast, nimble, works on simple, easy-to-understand, (but VERY powerful!), principles, and looks deceptively simple, sitting there on your counter!

Cuisinart SM-FP Food-Processor Attachment for Cuisinart Stand Mixer, White Review

Cuisinart SM-FP Food-Processor Attachment for Cuisinart Stand Mixer, White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I absolutely love my Cuisinart Stand Mixer and have been slowly purchasing the attachments as needed. This one was a mistake; not for lack of productivity though. As a food processor it works fantastically. The attachment is FAR too LOUD. As written previously by another reviewer, I don't know who could stomach the unit running on Speed 12! I can barely go past 4 or 5. I have only used this attachment once because of the noise - it is the most ear shattering racket you will ever hear.
I decided to purchase a dedicated food processor appliance and use my mixer solely for mixing, pasta making and blending (I received the blender attachment free, but have yet to use it - hopefully it's quieter, but it uses the same power port as the food processor).
This attachment will do the job, but I recommend investing your money into a separate unit to spare your hearing, and not to scare your pets and children.

This was my first food processor and when it bit the dust after about 15 years of almost daily use (salad dressings, herbs,m garlic, etc.), I moved up to a higher level and more expensive food processor, plus a mini one of the same brand. The minis didn't prove as versatile as Oskar, had much shorter short lives, and weren't that mini. So I've returned to my first love-- Oskar.

Cuisinart SM-BL Blender Attachment for Cuisinart Stand Mixer, White Review

Cuisinart SM-BL Blender Attachment for Cuisinart Stand Mixer, White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm glad I got this instead of a full size blender. It fits easily on the counter, holds a solid amount. I have mostly been making smoothies and shakes.
It's volume is no louder than any other, and it's convenience and cleanup is great.
The only possible negative I can say is that because the mixer has a graduated start, it doesn't have a super powerful "burst" mode like most blenders. However, it does get through ice very well with a subtle pulse in the blender speed as it goes.

Vita-Mix 1319 Professional Series, Onyx Review

Vita-Mix 1319 Professional Series, Onyx
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This blender beats the competition by a mile. There are several things that set it apart besides the power and design, which allows perfectly smooth smoothies, sauces and soups if you want them that way. I reviewed a previous model that is no longer available and notice there's a new model out that doesn't have the middle knob. While you'd still get the easy cleanup, power and reliability of the Vita-Mix, that knob (which is on this model) is something I really value because it allows you to change the speed by infinite degrees during processing.
I find this particularly important when processing hot liquids as you can get a wet 'explosion' if you try to start a blending process too fast, which causes the heat to suddenly expand the contents. I did this once with my small personal blender--bad idea. With this Vita-mix model, you can start at a very low speed and turn the speed up gradually to high. Starting at a slow speed also gets larger items broken up so a good flow can be established to the blending process sooner. I've found the speed control greatly enhances the ability to get the results I want, including dicing small quantities instead of pureeing them, if needed.
I've had my unit for years and have never had any problems. It's a great machine. It gets most any job done just the way you want it. It's no wonder professional chefs choose Vita-Mix over others. Highly recommended.

KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series Review

KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I received this mixer as a gift, and honestly, it is so great that I almost feel guilty I don't use it every day. I have heard good things about the reliability of Kitchen Aid mixers, and this one is far more powerful than what I actually need it to do.
One especially great thing is the slow-start feature--I do a lot of cake batter and icings, and it's nice to avoid getting flour all over the cabinets after each round of mixing. It mixes very thoroughly, although I was initially suspicious since the bowl doesn't rotate. You do have to stop and scrape the bowl, as with any mixer.
The machine is also incredibly quiet--it makes less noise than the microwave does. I like the fact that the bowl and white attachments are dishwasher safe, too. It might seem trivial, but I also like the styling of the wider bowl that comes standard with this model, instead of the narrower one that comes with the Artisan.
At first I thought the bowl-lift thing might be uncomfortable to use, since I'm used to tilt-head stand mixers. The bowl has two tabs with holes that fit on either side of the mixer, plus a metal nub that rests in a slot at the back. Once those three points are secure, you rotate the lever to lift the bowl to mixing position, and it's very stable.
I've only found two minor inconveniences with this machine. First, it's pretty tall, so it won't fit on the counter underneath my cabinets--I have to move it back and forth from another shelf to use it, and it's heavy. Second, when you're done mixing and lower the bowl, it's hard to scrape all the stuff off the beater because you can't get a good angle. So you have to detach the beater and let it fall into the bowl and when the bowl is off the mixer you can scrape everything out. Thinner stuff like cake batter wouldn't be a problem, but for frosting or mashed potatoes, a lot of stuff is left on the beater. This is not a big deal--just a different thing to get used to after a tilt-head mixer.
I have the cobalt blue model, and I hesitated because I thought it might be too "loud," but it's beautiful and I'm so glad I got this one.
I'm not a professional baker, but I use my mixer frequently, and I'm delighted to have something that looks great and works so well.

Click Here to see more reviews about: KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series

The Professional 5 Plus has a powerful 450-watt motor that delivers enough power to handle the heaviest mixtures, and mixes large batches easily. This special bowl lift model has brackets on the bowl that fit over support pins on the stand mixer, which is than lifted up by a handle on the right side of the mixer to lock the bowl in place while mixing (this design is made to handle heavy mixtures and large recipes). The 5-quart polished stainless steel bowl is dishwasher safe. Its ergonomically designed handle is contoured to fit the hand and makes lifting the bowl more comfortable. This mixer also features a unique mixing action: the beater spins clockwise as the shaft spins counter clockwise, moving the beater to 67 different points around the bowl. This distinctive mixing action creates a thorough blend of ingredients and eliminates the need to rotate the bowl. 10 speeds allow the user to select the right speed for the mixing job, from very high to a very slow stir. The flat beater, dough hook, and professional wire whip add to the versatility of the mixer. In addition, the Soft Start mixing feature helps prevent ingredient splash-out and "flour puff" at startup, while "Overload Reset" helps eliminate overheating of the motor. A hinged hub cover flips up, allowing easy installation of attachments and never leaves the mixer.Optional attachments (sold separately) complete the package to make cooking a pleasure. From citrus juicer to sausage stuffer, KitchenAid stand mixers can handle just about any job in the kitchen.

Margaritaville DM2000 Premium Frozen Concoction Maker Review

Margaritaville DM2000 Premium Frozen Concoction Maker
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First, I would rate it a 3.5
I purchased this item as I was tired of low quality drink mixers... I purchased the FIJI as it was the newest model out. It has a larger Ice holder and different settings for margaritas, daquiries, mudslides, and smoothies.
The machine is powerful and seemingly high quality. I feel it will last a long time. It does take some practice getting your recipies correct. Maybe its just me, but I also can NOT differentiate the drinks from the four different settings. A drink in the mudslide setting has the same texture as a Margarita....and etc. So I felt that was a waste for me. With the larger Ice Hopper thats nice, but easily available for the Key West version. I would rather have extra blending Jars as they are small and what I go through the most. The Key west seems to have the best matching ice reservoir for the blending jar. The drip through water catcher is nice... but very difficultt to clean. Its too narrow to wash by hand, you need to use a long handled something(minor inconvenience I guess).
Performance is nice. Its powerful and the ice shaver works well. very well actually/ But that too is extremely difficult to clean... If it comes out to clean, I cant figure mine out...so its pretty much just sticking a cloth it there to swap up melted ice, and hand pick out leftover ice. Its tricky as supports and the big blade can get you.
Also, probably the most fustrating thing is the ice hopper does not line up nicely with the blending jar opening. Its off about a 1/4 inch, but just enough for liquid to jump out when machine fires up. I was told I had too much liquid, but it does it no matter how much liquid I have in it. I now have to put the lid on the mixing jar at an angle so it lines up with the hopper, but this leaves an imperfect seal on the jar, and for full serving mixes it wants to come out the side of the lid.
Its also a big unit. We dont store appliances on our counter(actually wont fit under the counter wit the ice hopper on it), and we were limited as to where this unit would fit in our pantry... but thats fine, we made room. When mixing, the ice only feature is nice as you can really make a nice slushy drink for yourself or the kids if you wish. I pretty much only use the ice only and blend only buttons now, as the programmed settings either dont add enough ice for our taste or mixes it up too much. The no spill blending jar is not really no spill. It has a spout, but the glass is thick(quality), and that leads to dripping down the side when pouring. I would like to see them invent a high quality blending jar with a spout for pouring(as seen on cheap blenders)... now that would be the last great feature they would need to add.
I wish I had gotten the Key West to save money, but live and learn. Its a solid, decent looking machine that seems durable for years of use. I can live with its shortcomings operationally, but everytime I make a drink I cant get past the fact the blending jar does not line up perfectly with the ice hopper. I called the Manufacturer and they told me it in fact doesnt line up....That would be my clue to fix that, or not put it on the market at nearly $400.
Worth $400...NO...$300...NO... $200...sure, because of its powerful motor and expected lifespan. If you dont use it often its not worth it. The lower priced version at less than $200 would be perfect. But when using this often, you can justify a larger price. What else is out there like it anyhow???

Kick-start the party by serving up restaurant-quality frozen concoctions with this unique, easy-to-use appliance. Far more than just an ordinary blender, the unit automatically shaves ice and blends up to 36 ounces of a favorite frosty drink, all at the touch of a button. Simply fill the top reservoir with ice, pour the ingredients into the glass jar, and select the amount and type of beverage. Choose from four pre-programmed drink cycles--margaritas, daiquiris, mudslides, or smoothies--and either a full pitcher or experiment with small batches using the one-, two-, or three-drink settings. Hit the automatic Shave-N-Blend switch, and the machine automatically mixes the right proportion of ice with ingredients and for the perfect amount of time. The shaved ice ensures better drink consistency--no more chunks or watery drinks. For party guests who like thicker or thinner drinks, the manual "shave only / blend only" toggle switch allows for easily customizing beverages by adding more shaved ice or blending longer.
Crafted from durable ABS plastic in a premium brushed-nickel finish, the unit features a die-cast aluminum base, which provides a stable footprint, and a heavy-duty die-cast aluminum shaver paddle and lower blending coupler that handle the power of the dual motors. Other highlights include simple front-access controls, a large-capacity reservoir that holds ice for mixing 72 ounces of frozen drinks between refills, and a 36-ounce thick-walled retro-styled glass blending jar with a generous handle and drip-free spout. The blending jar and its components clean up easily by hand or in the dishwasher, and the rest of the unit quickly wipes clean. Accessories include one shot glass, a quick set-up guide, a recipe guide, an instruction manual, four coasters, and drink charms in a tin can. Sensio 10029 Bella Cucina Rocket Blender Review

Sensio 10029 Bella Cucina Rocket Blender
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this item for Christmas this year, and at first I was disappointed, because I had really wanted a Magic Bullet. Now, I realize I was wrong. I love the rocket blender. I use it at least once a day, sometimes more, for smoothies and blended drinks. I am unable to comment on how it does on regular foods because I haven't tried to make anything else, but just as a single-serve easy-clean smoothie maker it's already worth the money. I have heard of people complaining in reviews about the magic bullet not being able to crush ice, but I use whole ice cubes in every drink and my rocket blender crushes every piece and blends it well. I also think it's better for the design factor, it is much better looking than a magic bullet to leave out on my counter, of course it's a little bigger than a coffee cup, but no one should believe everything they hear in infomercials anyway. Even the plastic drink cups look nicer than those "party mugs" they show on the magic bullet commercial. The best reason I would choose this over a magic bullet? It's half the price.

Average Reviews:

OK, like me for some reason you decided you wanted a food processor. Why? Who knows. Let's be honest, most stuff you need to slice up can easily be chopped using a knife. A good Santuko knife will do the job; but like Tim Taylor you want more power. If that's your need then this is a great machine. It comes with every blade you could ever want. It slices cucumbers well but so does a knife. Anyway, don't waste huge bucks on a big name machine when you can waste them on this one and be happy. It slices up everything and unless you are stupid beyond belief, you can't slice up your fingers. If nothing else it makes great bread dough. Pizza time. Hey, it really does a great job with pepperoni for that pizza, Much better than a Santuko. Come on, do you really have money to waste? If so, then waste it on this model.

Simply add fresh produce to its wide-mouth opening at the top, which is wide enough to fit many whole fruits and vegetables; gently lower food towards the cutting blade with the food pusher; and turn the dial from "off" to "on" or "pulse" to set the blades spinning. Choose the stainless-steel S-shaped chopping blade or the reversible stainless-steel slicing/shredding disc for easy food prep no matter what's on the menu: pasta with a creamy pesto sauce, homemade pizza with fresh vegetables, carrot cake or zucchini bread - the options are endless. For added convenience, the appliance provides a citrus-juicer attachment for making fresh orange juice in the morning, a gourmet French Fry cutter for restaurant-style fries, an additional fine slicing/shredding disc, a dough blade, and a handy spatula for scraping the sides clean, as well as an accessory case to keep all the parts neatly stored when not in use. The food processor/juicer offers a cord-storage compartment to help keep countertops looking tidy, and its removable parts clean up easily by hand or in the dishwasher.

Margaritaville DM900 Battery-Powered Frozen-Concoction Maker Review

I bought this machine to make non-alcoholic versions of daiquiris and margaritias and discovred that this is one heck of a slush maker as well! The consistency of the drinks that this machine makes is like a frozen coke consistency and the machine works very quickly and easily. The machine is also very easy to clean after use. I am able to get three full batches of drinks from one batch of ice from my refrigerator's automatic ice maker. The automatic feature shaves ice and blends perfectly. This is the third "smoothie" type machine that I have had and the only one that works like it is supposed to. The battery charges well and so far I have made 15 batches of drinks without a recharge.
This will definitely be nice on hot summer nights on the deck!

Enjoy restaurant-quality frozen concoctions from the comfort of home and beyond thanks to this easy-to-use drink-making machine. The unit provides the same reliable performance as the plug-in models, but with the freedom of cordless operation--take it to the beach, out on the boat, to a tailgating party, or to a picnic in the park. Equipped with an 18-volt Ni-Cd battery pack, the appliance delivers enough power to blend up to 80 drinks on a single charge. Simply fill the top reservoir with ice, pour the ingredients into the blending jar, and hit the "start" button. Far more than just an ordinary blender, the unit features pre-programmed settings that automatically shave ice and completely blend up to 36 ounces at a time. Whether it's margaritas, mudslides, daiquiris, or fruit smoothies, the machine mixes ingredients to slushy perfection--no missed chunks of ice or watered-down disappointments. Other highlights include front-access controls, powerful DC shaving and blending motors, durable construction with a premium graphite finish, a stable base, and a see-through blending jar with a generous handle. The battery-operated frozen-concoction maker measures approximately 15 by 10 by 21 inches. From the Manufacturer Features
