(More customer reviews)I love this collapsable funnel. I am a kitchen gadget junkie and in the scheme of things, this is hardly a high tech gadget but it gets the job done exactly as I needed. The best part is that when I am done it collapses into a much smaller package so that it is easily stored in the drawer. As a bonus, it also offers a piece that fits onto the bottom which serves to strain whatever is being funneled. Perhaps it made note of this on the description but I missed it so this was a nice surprise.

Mr Pea Sheller Review

(More customer reviews)we used a loaner....works great....peas have to be picked and wait until next day to shell...we used an electric drill(would work better with a hand mixer)set on a small table, used a tin square pan for peas to go in and a new paper as a shoot for the hulls to go down in a bucket....now we have ordered one of our own....oh and the peas have to be turned to enter the roller with end that has a little tab on it......(not where you break it off at vine.....hope this helps..we saved a bundle of time with the sheller and no dirty fingers....jh

(More customer reviews)This is a solid well-made product with holes in the mill inserts that are larger (5mm and 3mm) than the size of the seeds you want to keep out of your sauces. I primarily use a food mill for tomato sauces. This device will not work with tomatoes or seeds noticeably bigger(grapes). Unless you are pureeing watermelon you probably will be disappointed in this product.

(More customer reviews)I don't know why I lived without it! It sits beautifully in the mouth of the jar and the wide hole lets the food fall right into the jar like it wasn't there. Ladles seem to know just when to drip so it hits the side of the jar. You can almost hear them laughing at you. This funnel ends that! No more food running down the side of the canning jar. No more messy, sticky rims that need to be carefully cleaned before placing the lid. And it cleans very easily. I highly recommend it.

Victorio VKP1056 Stainless Steel Canning Rack - Flat Review

You can't tell from the picture on here but the six "spokes" are on the top of the circular rings, therefore creating dividers in the space available.
If I was to do it again I think I would have bought the more expensive rack from Kitchen Krafts that says it has no dividers and holds more jars.
As it is, I have a tall enough pot that I will just turn the rack upside down and see how it goes.

(More customer reviews)I bought this funnel because I pour hot soup, spaghetti, stew, and other messy foods into a Thermos Stainless Food Jar W/ Folding Spoon 16oz twice a day. My conventional funnel is easily clogged, and neatly pouring hot soup directly from a pot into a thermos is a challenge. Pouring the soup from a pot into a large measuring cup and then into the thermos wasn't much better, as the broth splashed out of the thermos whenever a chunk of meat or vegetable fell in.
My husband purchased this wide-mouth funnel and the spilling and splashing was instantly eliminated. This is the first time that I haven't had to clean soup from the counter or the outside of a thermos food jar! Highly recommended for a tidy kitchen and to reduce the stress of packing hot, homemade meals to go.

Jarden Home Brands 12Pk 1/2Pt wide Mouth Jar Canning Jars Review

(More customer reviews)I'll start by saying that this is a criticism of Amazon listings in general. A friend of mine in the mid-west had some "Ball" mason 1/2 pint jars that looked as if you took the quart jar and lobbed off most of it. So they're kind of flat, but they hold a half pint and have a wide mouth. Well, I did some searching here and found 4 in a package for 10 or more dollars. I wanted more than four so after some digging around I found this product. Well, they're flattish and have a wide mouth, BUT THERE'S NO PICTURE OF THE ACTUAL JAR!!! I have simply not purchased things on Amazon for this reason.
After looking at the reviews and seeing that someone said they liked the "squat look" of the product I decided to go for it. Well, they're not what I was looking for, but they're very cute and will do for my purposes. They may even be better, but time and experience will have to determine that. I use jars to store all of my leftovers or take-alongs in order to avoid plastic.

(More customer reviews)After too many times of having my hot lids stick to each other and have to handled, struggled with, or just give up until later, I bought this gadget. There are some things we don't need when canning. We can live without the funnel. We can probably live without the lifter tool. I'm not sure I want to live without this item. You can slide your rings down the handle while you are getting organized. you can even put the whole thing, with rings, down into your hot water. You pick up the lids by the edges, never have to touch the inside of the lid. A great and useful tool.

Roma Food/Veg Strainer Review

(More customer reviews)I have used this Roma Vegetable Strainer for making apple sauce twice. Previously I have used the Victorio strainer (very nice and sturdy, but no longer available) and Back to Basics (stronger than the Roma in my opinion, but not as good as the Victorio - it had a lot of parts to lose and was not rust resistant). The Roma is easy to put together and seems to be rust resistant, but is weak, flimsy, unstable, and doesn't hold on my counter well with either the suction or the clamp.Things I like about the Roma Strainer:
* Pieces attach easily without nuts and bolts
* Seem to be rust resistant (The Back-to-Basics strainer that I bought 15 years ago had some parts that would rust)
* Plastic cone that takes the waste (seeds, core and skin) away is farther from the sauce dispenser, making it easier to have various shapes of bowls.Things I dislike about the Roma Strainer:
* The suction cup does not hold on my smooth quartz counter-top. Nice try, but it doesn't work.
* I have a bull-nose (rounded edge) to my counter-top so the clasp doesn't work very well either - it isn't long enough to reach around the bull-nose. So, it starts wiggling fairly quickly and isn't very stable, with no way to attach it more firmly.
* The handle is much harder to turn than the old Victorio (purchased 30 years ago) or Back-to-basics (purchased 16 years ago) strainers I have previously used. As I turn the handle, the vertical support seems to wobble or bend a bit, as though it isn't very strong.
* The handle seems a bit flimsy.
* Turning the handle is stiffer with more resistance than with the other strainers I have used before. (You tire more quickly.
* I have to run the waste product through 2 x as there is a lot of good applesauce that goes out with it.
The materials and workmanship are poorer quality. Some of the features (fewer parts to get lost) are nicer. Overall, though, my experience is that it is not nearly as good or as easy to use as the other strainers I have used in the past.
