(More customer reviews)Usually I don't write reviews but this product deserves one. When I saw it out of the package I thought it looks kind of weak for the job it claims to do, but I want to give it a try and disregard the comments a friend told me a long time ago: "don't by anything you see on those infomercials "as seen on tv" they are just piece of junk". Well I tried first with a potato, I sliced a piece with a knife to fix inside the plastic enclosed base (which is a little bit small), gave the fist tap, and the plunger didn't come out, it got stuck with the potato, so I tried to remove the potato and it was very difficult, so I tried to pull out the plunger instead, and the plunger came out so I had the chopper with the stuck potato on one hand and the plunger in the other. I thought probably it was my fault I putted so much stress to the poor chopper with that hard potato (by the way the potato was peeled and enclosed in the plastic fixture), so I decided to try now with parsley, again chop the parsley with a KNIFE to small piece to fix inside the device, the result, the parsley wasn't chopped at all, just smashed. Again, it has to be my fault, parsley it's too tough for the poor thing, to many fiber in there. Finally, let's use it on an onion as advertised in the commercials. Result: it worked on the onion but not as I expected, it certainly chopped the onion but most of the time you have to check the final result for big pieces which got stuck between the metal, come on!!! I do a more efficient job with a knife. I don't want to know the results on a tomato, probably smashed tomato, since tomatoes have a skin resistant to be cut and an weak interior.
Conclusion: Save your money an invest on a good chef knife and a protective glove and you will be more efficient chopping vegetables, I have those before buying this piece of junk and I'm using them again.

Progressive International Microwaveable Rice Cooker Set Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for one reason; so my buddy in the Army who is flying around in the desert can make himself and his crew a meal without them having to walk the damned mile from their quarters to the chow hall.
I researched microwavable rice cookers and this one fit the bill because of 1)price, 2)size (can fit in a very small microwave), and 3) capacity. It also provided good value because of the measuring cup and spoon provided.
I shipped this to Iraq (via USPS APO) along with some bags of Jasmine Rice, Pouches of Chicken breast meat, Cans of Coconut Milk and baby corn, an envelope of "Taste of Thai" peanut sauce mix, and my recipe for "Chicken and Baby Corn in peanut sauce over jasmine rice" (which as you might imagine involved mixing and heating everything but the rice, then dumping it over the rice.)
IT WAS A HUGE HIT, and it's not like these knuckleheads (I say that with all due fondness and respect) can cook. So bottom line, this thing would be perfect for a Soldier in the field or a college student in a dorm room.

(More customer reviews)I lost my last juicer to fire and started looking for a small good quality juicer. Waring sounded familiar and the juicer looked good. However i am so disappointed.
My BJ120 Model 31JC25 is short of junk. Low quality light plastic which wobbles right and left and spills the juice. Watch the video, that's exactly it. I don't recommend this product at all. Please don't pay such a high price for this. Maybe for $25 it will be ok. Mind you, the motor may be strong and not too noisy. I'm trying to be fair.
I did not buy it from Amazon since Amazon does not mail this type of merchandise to PR. I bought it in internet though. Did not return it because i was going on for a long stay in Europe and could not manage it at the time.

I am not a large person, but the pressure I was able to exert to press out the orange juice simply overwhelmed the gears on this manual machine, even though the gears are metal; in both instances, the gear was stripped, the second time in well under a year. At $50 a whack, you are better off with a cheap electronic juicer.

(More customer reviews)There are a lot of people who don't necessarily want another large, heavy appliance taking up valuable counter/storage space. Sometimes these same people want fresh-squeezed orange or grapefruit juice to go with their breakfast, but not necessarily every day. This Black and Decker Handy Juicer is made just for the likes of me.
It couldn't be simpler - fit the pointy white juice reamer piece on top of the plastic pitcher, on top of the motor base, then press down your halved citrus or pomegranate. It runs (reasonably)quietly and does its job of grinding the juicy pulp down to the peel with only small effort on the part of an actual human arm.
If you are impressed with a juicer that looks like a stainless steel rocket ship get Cuisinart's version at about three times the price. If you're a dyed in the wool fanatic juice enthusiast that has to have fresh juice every morning for your family and yourself you might consider investing in something more industrial quality, such as Kitchenaid's juicing attachment that goes with their stand mixer. If you want a manual juicer get the Mighty OJ. But if you just need a glass of freshly extracted citrus now and again, without a lot of storage space, effort or investment, the B&D Handy Juicer can't be beat.

Better Chef IM550V Juicer Review

(More customer reviews)I've just finished drinking my first glass of carrot juice made with this juicer. I couldn't be more satisfied.

First of all it's very easy to assemble, disassemble and wash. I've had two other "under $50" juicers and have had trouble getting the stainless steel baskets in and out and remembering what order to assemble it - with this one it was a breeze.
Carrots are one of the harder textured food to juice. This machine was so quick and powerful I couldn't believe it, it took seconds!!!! I can't attest to whether it will continue to work, but for function and ease of use you can't beat it. It also does a good job of extracting all the juice out - the pulp was very dry.
Would recommend it if it were five times the price - I've never seen a juicer so inexpensive. This is the machine to buy if you've considered juicing, but were hesitant to invest the money. Also, makes a great additional juicer.

Black & Decker CJ630 32-Ounce Electric Citrus Juicer Review

(More customer reviews)This is a nice juicer with a quality feel to it. Here is what I like about it, and where I see room for minor improvement:
The Good:
- Very easy to assemble, and more importantly very easy to clean. I just briefly rinse after use and then put the parts in the top dishwasher rack (minus the part housing the motor, of course).
- Operation is clean, i.e. no juice hits the counter top, everything goes inside the pitcher.
- I especially like the two cone sizes: The smaller one is for lemons and limes, the larger which goes on top of the smaller cone when needed, for grapefruits and oranges.
- The smaller cone (which is always in) also features two plastic "blades" (called stirrers in the manual) at the bottom edge which rotate with the cone and help that juice and, if so desired, pulp actually make it into the pitcher through the strainer openings. One of the pet peeves I always had about manual juicers was the fact that the strainer got clogged with pulp and seeds so that the juice sat on top and didn't flow through. Having these stirrers there moves pulp and seeds around so that the juice can get through and the openings don't get clogged. But see note below when processing a larger number of fruits...
- The reverse rotation feature is also useful in that I feel that more juice gets extraced from the fruit than if it would always just rotate in one direction. The fruit halves look really squeezed out.
- Pitcher has a good capacity (32 oz). Works just as well for several large fruits as it does when one only has one single lemon - not too big, not too small.
Don't Like So Much:
- The electrical cord is rather short, so one can't operate this too far away from an outlet.
- The auto-reverse sometimes kicks in and sometimes doesn't, and since there is no button to auto-reverse, it sometimes requires several tries.
- When squeezing a lemon on the max pulp setting, quite a few of the baby seeds also get through. Since I like as much pulp as I can get in my juices, this is either something I have to live with or I reduce the pulp setting to ensure that I don't have the little seeds floating in my juice.
- When squeezing larger fruits like oranges, a lot of the pulp tends to eventually collect on top of the strainer despite the stirrers (it just doesn't fit through the small strainer openings). So I end up having to periodically scoop it out when processing a larger number of fruits to avoid solid covering of the strainer.
Summary:
This is a useful appliance for normal household usage. I don't think, however, I would use it if I had large amounts of juice to make but for the occasional pitcher, this is perfect. At the price this is offered here, there is really nothing to think about: Get it and enjoy your lemonades or orange juices.

(More customer reviews)I usually like to 'live' with a product for awhile before posting any sort of review. We've been using our Tribest Citrus Juicer for about 3 months now. There really is not much to say other than it does exactly what I expected a citrus juicer to do... it reams citrus fruits very fast, very efficiently, very safe and easy to use, a really powerful motor, simple quick clean-up and it looks good. Excellent plastics materials used in construction and its a simple, smart design. It might be a little more expensive than many of the other citrus juicers currently in the marketplace but you can be sure you won't be disappointed. When searching for a citrus juicer I read quite a few reviews and it seems weak motors were the biggest single complaint with most of these electric citrus juicers. However I gathered from the reviews about this Tribest Citrus Juicer that a weak motor would definitely NOT be an issue and then when I considered the relatively small price difference for a juicer with a more powerful and reliable motor it really was a no-brainer decision for me. So today, after 3 months of everyday use (sometimes twice a day) squeezing 4-5 oranges and a grapefruit at a time (enough juice for two) I can comfortably come forward and recommend this juicer as a durable, quality kitchen appliance that looks good enough to leave out on the counter and you wouldn't mind using it everyday.

I like the compact size of this model, and it has NO problem efficiently juicing oranges for OJ or lemons for recipes that require juice. I only have an electric juicer because my wrists are sensitive (everyone who uses a keyboard too much should avoid the repetitive movements required with an old-fashioned glass juicer). Am very satisfied with this Oster 3186.
