(More customer reviews)I slice quite a bit of pineapple and was looking for a helpful tool. This didn't work. The metal blade is too flimsy for the heavy duty job of slicing through pineapple. With quite a bit of pressure and elbow grease, it barely cut through. You have to cut the pineapple manually to almost a perfect "square" before even using the tool, quite a bit of wasted fruit. The core section usually yields core in your final slice and cuts away good fruit. Messy and time consuming. Extremely dissapointing. Not even worth committing precious drawer space for. I've now since seen it at my local grocery store and Target.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this for my three kids. We love roasting smores on a campfire but do not get to do that too often. When I saw the low Amazon price, I had my doubts. I was still so excited to try this out. It came in and the kids and I tried it for dessert. It was just as easy as promised. It took only 30 seconds to cook the marshmallows evenly and perfectly. The chocolate doesn't really start melting until you take it out of the microwave which is good. It is less messy that way.
I could not recommend this enough. We use ours very regularly. I have already bought three more as Christmas gifts. Wonderful, simple, inexpensive. What more could you ask for? Go get your own!!

Progressive International GPC-4000 Fruit and Vegetable Chopper Review

This week, I used this product to prepare the following:
Sun: Pizza toppings (olives, mushrooms, peppers, onions)
Mon: Soup (celery, onions, carrots)
Tue: Salsa (tomatoes, onions, peppers)
Tue: Spanish rice ( onions, celery, peppers, tomatoes)
Wed: Pad thai (broccoli, peppers, onions)
Thur: Stuffed peppers (onions, zucchini, peppers, mushrooms)
Everyday: Salad (apples, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, hardboiled egg)
Fri: Apple cake (apples)
Sat: Oatmeal (apples)
The chopper is a little more work to clean than a knife, but MUCH faster and still easy to clean with the included cleaning comb. (don't lose it) Cleaning is little more than rinsing usually. I run it through the dishwasher every few days.
If you don't need to prep a lot of ingredients like I listed or you don't really care if your items are minced/ diced/ sliced into identical shapes, then you don't need this. However, if you do a lot of chopping/ mincing/ slicing and you like it when your finished pieces are all identical (I do!), then this chopper can not be beat. It is very durable but requires a fairly strong push. My children can't push through the same items that I can, but if I take out half the items, then they too enjoy seeing the neatly chopped pieces. (More customer reviews)I fell victim to the infomercials and actually did something I NEVER do: I bought the Bullet Express from an infomercial. I couldn't wait for it to arrive, and bought lots of fruits and veggies to try in it. I carefully unpacked and washed all the parts, and familiarized myself with the directions for use. Then on the very first us, it BROKE! The cheapo piece of plastic in the shredder blade cooked, and disintigrated. When I called to arrange a refund, I was told that they do not refund the bogusly overinflated shipping and handling fees. And when I loudly complained about having to pay for nothing, they magnanimously offered to send a pre-paid return label. I tried calling again to talk with a supervisor about refunding the S&H fee, and was again denied. I can't believe that I shelled out $29.99 and have nothing to show for it, but high blood pressure and feeling like a fool for being victimized by a crummy company that makes it's money on bogus shipping and handling, in exchange for sending you useless crap in the mail.
