(More customer reviews)I purchased this blender only three months ago and I'm already on my third one. After only a few weeks, the first one suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. I called Customer Service and they said it was due to a known issue with the electronics. As a raw foodist, I depend on my blender DAILY, so going a week without one while I awaited the arrival of the replacement was a significant hardship. Now, only four weeks after receiving the second one, it suddenly stopped working. Needless to say, I'm not a happy customer. They have one more shot. If this one fails, I'm reversing the charge and going with a Vita-mix.

(More customer reviews)This is the most powerful blender I have ever used. It will blend just about anything and gives you a nice and smooth liquid with no chunks. Blending ice is an ease, so it's great for mixed drinks. Great for shakes. It's great for more than you'd imagine. Comes with a cookbook that will help you to use to more than you'd probably think, including soups.
Hand blender is nice. Obviously, not as powerful, but does a good job for shakes or powdered drinks.
Both are easy to clean.
I love my BlendTec and you probably will also, but you may want to look at Vita-Mix 1700 Turbo Blend 4500 Countertop Blender with 2+ HP Motor before making a buying decision. Also a very nice blender.

(More customer reviews)If you're serious about getting a real blender, it comes down to Blendtec and Vita-Mix. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these "real" blenders. All the others are fine, I guess. I'd been making do with a classic Waring and a cheap new thing that promised to circulate the contents in some kind of wave motion. Whatever. They both made enough noise to drown out a helicopter landing on my roof, and I seriously feared they'd fly apart and I'd die from shrapnel wounds. And they were such a pain to clean that I regretted pulling them out of the cupboard in the first place. I needed something better, and man, did I find it!
I chose the Blendtec for the following reasons:
-it's smaller
-no knobs or crevices to clean or gum up
-square pitcher pours better
-3 HP motor (!)
-excellent design and choice of materials
-Vita-Mix is incredibly ugly -- I wonder if that was on purpose or just some unfortunate accident?
-relatively quiet -- if you want to hear loud, come over and I'll dig out my old blenders and make you a smoothie
-Extremely easy to clean
Yes, I love it and haven't found anything about it I'd change.

(More customer reviews)This is an awesome blender. It blends stuff like you've never seen before and I am really pleased with it. But holy cow is it LOUD!! The cat hates me. I got a pair of earmuffs from the shooting supply place to wear while using it. Maybe overkill, but I think that using it twice a day without them would result in hearing damage eventually. I wish they sold an enclosure for this one like they do for the commercial ones....I'd definitely buy one.
I bought this because I had a juicer and liked it. But I felt that tossing all that pulp and fiber had to be making me miss out on a lot of health benefits. And just trying to spoon some of it back into the juice doesn't work, it's gross. This blender blends whole fruits and vegetables wonderfully, I can still get the fiber and in a drinkable form.
After I bought this, I read a webpage where they talked about blending an avocado WITH the pit, and I tried it. It works, I ended up with an amazingly smooth mousse-like creamy pudding. Not something I'd do every day, but it was very interesting. I have been making kale banana blueberry smoothies for breakfast and it blends everything into one homogenous shake. No bits of leaves, chunks of stuff, etc. I'm enjoying it. I just wish it wasn't so loud.

Waring Health Juice Extractors Review

First - this thing doesn't juice all that efficiently. Wanna find that out for real? Go buy a GOOD juicer, and use it. This thing starts looking like a massive waste of time and money the moment you try a better juicer.
Next - think this is a good price? Think again. The lid on the pulp container is stupidly designed with an easily broken protrusion on the bottom right which acts as a safety - the juicer will not turn on unless the lid is on. Of course, when that protrusion breaks, it won't turn on then either. Replacements are $12 or so, plus shipping. Note that I got mine from an Amazon Store called "Small Appliance". Don't get me started. They suck beyond all human comprehension, but at least they called me a week after I'd already bought a better product. Hey: They may not be good, but they sure are slow!
The replacements do not fit. So you get an RMA and ship the replacement back (your dime) and get another replacement...
That does not fit. How the heck did this happen? Waring only has one part like this anywhere, ever, and it doesn't fit? So I get a lot of shipping charges to return the ill-fitting cover, and by now I have spent enough to buy a better product in the first place.
TL;DR: Don't. Spend a little more. You'll be happier, it'll waste less, and it'll last longer.

(More customer reviews)When I first bought the juicer, I cleaned it with soap and water per the instructions. I put an apple in to see what would happen, and it made 1-1/2 pure apple silver juice. It must have been the rust. Then next time I washed it again, coated it with oil, I put a carrot and an apple and I got liquid silver pulp coming out. I washed it YET again then tried to put wheatgrass through it, and again silver-wheatgrass juice. If you are going to buy a wheatgrass juicer, buy an electric one, or one that is made of plastic and metal that doesn't ooze silver liquid. It was a complete waste of fifty bucks; do yourself a favor and avoid this at all costs.

(More customer reviews)This little juicer is a great intro into the juicing lifestyle. It is a centrifugal juicer meaning the vegetables you place into it are shredded by tiny teeth and the pulp is thrown against the outer wall of the screen and the juice is forced out by the spinning motion. What you get is a fair amount of juice for the vegetables you place into it. I have owned this juicer for over 5 years with little or no problems at all with it. I usually juice every day so that is saying a good deal for a machine that costs less than $100.
I would give it 5 stars if it were not for the following things:
1. It is noisy, I mean lock up the cat because when you fire it up it resembles a jet engine taking off.
2. A pain to clean. It only has 1 moving part but due to the nature of the process food particles fling all over the inside of it.
3. Bogs down with pulpy fruits.
Some hard-core juicing people say that centrifugal juicers heat the juice up and this destroys nutrients. In my opinion even heated a small amount is still better than sucking down soda and pizza any day.

(More customer reviews)We aren't juice fanatics but we do enjoy fresh squeezed orange juice and think orange-carrot juice is a real treat. So imagine our surprise when we set this up on Christmas morning, fed some carrots into it, then some oranges ... only to see the machine start complaining, clogging up and refusing to perform. We went to the manual and were stunned to read, way down on the last line of a section, that the machine is "not for citrus fruits"!!!!! Maybe this is common knowledge in the juice world, but in our ignorance we expected a $200 "juice extractor" to be able to handle oranges, which I suspect (although I haven't researched this) are pretty near the top of the list of fruits that get turned into juice. We tried for two weeks to call the Delonghi US customer service line that is helpfully provided in the manual but kept getting the "we're experiencing unusually high call volume" message. They say you can leave a message and they will get back to you, but guess their system was overloaded because it wouldn't take ours. Bottom line: the machine looks great and feels substantial, but it's going back to Amazon and we'll order a Breville, which (gasp!) actually juices oranges!

(More customer reviews)I've owned my Green Power KPE 1304 Juicer for over 18 months now. Our family juices 3-4 times a week and we like to think of ourselves as seasoned pro's.
We juice wheatgrass on a regular basis and found that the machine works flawlessly making pretty much all juices. Our family is very health conscience and wanted a juicer that would make our favorite juices, be easy to clean and last a couple days before going bad, that is if we don't drink it all that same day.
I researched many different juicers including the Green Star and the Green Power Gold and learned that these models where a much older design from the mid 90's which has not been updated and had a few drawbacks. The Green Power 1304 is the latest design and I am telling you this because I was initially completely confused as Tribest tried to tell me that the Green Star and Green Power Gold where the latest and best models available which was completely untrue.
I contacted Kitchen's Best customer service and kept the kind lady on the phone with all of my silly questions for well over half an hour. I really appreciated the time that she spent with me. I really do not like to be "sold" over the phone and I clearly felt that she just wanted to help me find the right juicer. She e-mailed me the Green Power history chart which clearly showed the evolution of the Green Power/Green Star Juicers which was very helpful.
Our family totally loves the juicer! The kids enjoy having fun creating different juices and clean up is fairly easy if you clean it right away.
I highly recommend the juicer and the company's customer service is always fantastic. I have now purchased multiple times from this company and it has been a great experience. If you are looking to make soy, nut and rice milk I also recommend the NEW 2009 Soymilk Maker - SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker 930P My best purchase this year.

Green Power Juicer - Model KPE 1304 - 10 Yr. Warranty Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned several juicers over the years including Acme, Champion, and Juiceman II. Since the latter was what I replaced with the Green Power I will use it to make my comparison. The Juiceman is a good middle of the road juicer but we decided to upgrade when my wife became ill. We wanted one that could juice wheatgrass, and provided a better quality juice than the Juiceman. After researching we went with the Green Power.
Pro: the Green Power does provide a better quality juice. The pulp is much drier, the juice keeps longer, and it does a pretty fair job with wheatgrass. The Juiceman produces a wetter pulp and will not juice wheatgrass.
Con: not easy to clean. The Juiceman takes about two minutes and you're done, the Green power has more parts, smaller screens and just takes longer. Also,the juicer itself needs to be cleaned where the twin screws attach. Complicated. If you want carrot apple juice you have to replace screens in the middle of juicing. The Juiceman juices fruits and vegetables without the need to change screens. The Green Power requires taking off the vegetable screen and replacing it with a fruit screen. This is messy and time consuming, plus it doesn't do a great job with fruit. Pulpy. The Green Power juice is very pulpy no matter how much you tighten down the pulp adjustor. A strainer is advised.
One other issue I have with the Green Power is it occasionally will spurt juice and pulp up through the feeder tube if you are juicing wet vegetables like cucumbers. So the juicer and counter have a nice coating of juice and pulp. Having said all this, the quality of the juice may well overide all these other issues and I may find some of them are correctable over time (I've been using the Green Power for a couple of months).

(More customer reviews)I am a huge juicer. Every morning my wife and I juice. We noticed that our juiceman jr was not efficiently juicing our green vegies. It was wasting 90% of them. The green veggies (expensive I might add) went right into the plastic bin hardly touched. I went to Jamba Juice and they explained how an auger presses the green juices - and, that's what Jamba uses for their wheat grass....well, the rest is history. I did my homework and found out that augers are more efficient just like Jamba explained. And, kitchens best walked me through the entire thing. Plus, they offered a 90 day money back warranty. They are incredibly nice and I can't believe they offer that kind of awesome money back gaurantee. Anyway, they are RIGHT about the juicer - it absolutely presses out 95% more green juice than the Jack Lalane and Juice man Jr. styles..and it does a better job on apples, ginger, and everything else too. The ONLY down side is - it's a slower process. But, in life - you can't have everything. I would much rather take a minute or two more each day and get my monies worth out of the fruits and veggies I buy than to speed through it and waste my food. Also, I seriously think it tastes better too!! Reason being, the other style spins it so fast - I swear it tasted "burned" sometimes. The Samson seems sweeter and more mellow. Anyway, trust me - you won't go wrong with this juicer or this company. Lovely company. Fair price too. Nobody offers a 90 day warranty...not even KMART OR WALLMART!! Nuff said. Buy it - you will thank me later.

This manual wheat grass juicer is heavy duty, but has many down falls. You must assemble and re-assemble each time you juice. It must be cleaned and dried or it will rust,(this takes a lot of time). The paint is coming off after only a week. The bolts don't tighten well, and the juice leaks everywhere. It creates a huge mess and too much work for less than an oz of juice. It also seems to take tons of grass to get anything out of it. I regret buying this product.
