Waring PJE101 Quite White Juice Extractor Review

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these in 1977. And it's still in excellent condition after about a million (more or less) glasses of juice. What more can you ask?
Well, perhaps easier cleaning. Pulp gets wedged in the basket and you need a stiff brush to get it loose. Some dishwashers will do the trick, but you may end up scrubbing. Thus four instead of five stars.
If you need to make more than two glasses of juice, you'll probably have to stop and empty the basket of pulp before continuing. The Champion juicer spits out the pulp while juicing and might be a better choice for those who have large families.
Nevertheless, this Waring juicer (they bought out the old Acme brand) gets every drop of juice from your veggies and fruit. Don't even consider a cheaper juicer, as you'll pay the price in needing more produce to come up with a good glass of juice. Bon Apetit!

Carrots, celery, beets, cucumbers, apples--all vegetables and fruits, with the exception of citrus, go into this powerful 550-watt compact juicer's feed chute and come out the spout as pure, fresh juice. (More customer reviews)I bought this without reading a single review. I searched hard for one, but guess this must be too pricey for most people to purchase it (at least, that's my guess). But since my husband and I juice every morning, we wanted something to remove pesticides. We bought this and have never regretted it. Granted, I can't prove that pesticides and other bad things (i.e e-choli) are actually removed, because I don't have a science lab at hand, I CAN say items washed are MUCH cleaner with this. I can also say we haven't gotten sick, and spinach is one of our daily ingredients (I'm reviewing this shortly after the e-choli on spinach breakout).
I have washed bunches of celery and been disgusted by what was washed off (bugs, dirt, and who knows what else). Even if we can't see much difference, we can feel a difference. For example, carrots washed in running water feel like carrots, but carrots washed in this washer feel almost like they were scrubbed clean.
If you can afford this, I highly recommend it.
I will add, for those who purchase it, that there is a metal ring in the bottom of the bowl that says 'open' and 'close.' I called Samson's help line and asked about this, since nothing is mentioned in the user's guide. The man told me to leave it alone (on the 'closed' setting), that it is for repair technicians to use.
We've used it for food, and also for our toothbrushes. They get a thorough cleaning each month, and I don't have to worry about them warping, as happens when they are boiled clean.

(More customer reviews)This is a great fryer for its size. Only 4 cups of oil, heats quickly. I have made yam fries, tempura shrimp/scallops and fried wontons. All were delicious and very crisp. Clean-up is a little annoying because you cannot remove the oil container from the unit. This is pretty much exactly the same as the FryDaddy with the addition of adjustible thermostat and fry basket and cover to keep oil from spattering when frying.

Juicelady JL500 Pro Electric Juicer Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the Juicelady a couple of months ago, and it works wonders. The engine is great, and shreads even the thickest of carrots with ease. The juicer extracts the juice, and lets you enjoy the yummy juice without any pulp of any kind. I love pulp, but man, this lady is a great juicelady! The only problem I have with this machine is the cleanup. The machine is quite large. The worst part is cleaning the net container. Those who own this know what I'm talking about. I suggest you use a toothbrush when cleaning the net.

(More customer reviews)I received my juicer as ordered. It came with a demonstration Dvd which I believe was very helpful in understanding the machine and the multiple things it can do. I proceeded to juicing some fruits and vegetables. It is much easier than my single gear juicer that I had. I no longer have to cut everything into bite size pieces before juicing. the parts take more time to clean compared to my old juicer. I tried without success to remove the carrot stain from the white machine and the parts. I regret that they did not offer a variety of colors to choose from until I received the brochure that showed the juicer in multiple colors. I would have gotten the red instead of the white. But if you do not mind carrot stain on your unit, then its fine. I had to apply some pressure to the plunger to get the carrots down. I finally fiqured a way to aim the carrot precisely between the two gears to allow the gears to pull the carrots and other items down. The quality of the juice is noticable different from my old juicer. There was minimal to no froth on the top of the juice. I have been through several juicers personally from J'man jr. to single gear masticators to champions and finally to this. The price was much lower than I saw advertised elsewhere but it's still expensive. I'm not bursting with joy yet but I'll see.

The motor does not wind down, all the pulp is ejected into the back container providing clean juice! I compared 6 juicers to this one and none could compare to its power. (More customer reviews)The juicer is okay for every day use. I have a lot of lefovers from carrots that did not turn into juice. So I make carrot cakes out of them, FYI. The best thing about it is that is gets assembled pretty easily; it takes a little effort, however, to get the grinding piece off. My mother-in-law even wanted to take it to the store to ask for help before I came and showed her that she had to pull harder. I usually rinse the parts in the sink before I dish wash them. It is a matter of 5-10 minutes, maybe, to clean after yourself. This juicer saved us money; we do not buy any frozen juices any longer. What makes me unhappy is that it's fairly loud, I can't make the juice early in the morning before my jogging time. The neighbors downstars would not appreciate it. I'd not extremely loud though as those with higher power go, stll my daughter jumps every now and then if I turn it on without letting her know before hand. The plastice does stain from the fruit/veggies. I can't quite get it why they make it out of plastic, it looks a little cheap and worn out after a few uses. Over all, it's served us for 2+ years with no break. I am pretty pleased with the price and quality of it.

(More customer reviews)I just got this as a wedding shower gift, and I love it! It's easy to use, and the clean up is not nearly as bad as I was expecting. The filter is a little hard to clean, but I've been soaking it in hot soapy water for 20 to 30 minutes and then cleaning it with a toothbrush and it has worked great.
My fiancé isn't thrilled with the cost involved with juicing, but it's worth the trade-off. With this juicer, you can make 1 small glass of apple juice with 2 large apples. That's really not unreasonable.

Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juicing Machine Review

(More customer reviews)There are only a few reviews for this on Amazon. I purchased this machine yesterday. It was not from Amazon. I think the Juice is excellent. The machine is very easy to set up and clean.
My problem is that two fold. First I am not sure the screen will hold up for the long haul. My second is that I just juiced a Pineapple and half of it was froth. The same goes with Beets, carrots,Apples etc.... It also seems to suddenly slam the fruit into the top of the machine. The pulp does not go into the basket also. The pulp from carrots is much dryer than other fruits. The other fruit pulp can be squeezed by hand. It is like I wish I had a press as a back up to press the pulp. It is a waste in my opinion to have so much pulp left over and then all that froth.
Look I have done research on a lot of juicers and for the price this one seemed to be great. It is a centrifuge juicer and I realize they are at the bottom of the line as far as juicers go. I am going to return my juicer tomorrow and go for the big bucks. I am going to purchase a twin screw triturator and maybe with a press. I just do not like all that froth and with produce being so expensive... I am sure the savings will pay for the more expensive machine.
Recap: If you do not mind all the froth and wet pulp??? It is your choice. Cleaning and assembly is a breeze. However you will probably have to disassemble it and clean it twice before you can make a quart of juice(or more???). The pulp does not go into the pulp basket instead it gets stuck on the top of the inside before it makes it into the basket. Then there is that nasty froth again.....What can I say???? I also tried the both speeds to see if that would help. Does not help. Good luck. I hope this was helpful??? Wish I read my review before my purchase....

Breville BJE200XL 700-Watt Compact Juice Fountain Review

My Jack LaLane juicer finally wore out after 2.5 years of daily use. I was tempted to buy another - but I liked the way everything including the pulp catcher is all in one unit. So glad I got the Breville.
This thing is POWERFUL, especially compared to "Jack LaLanne". It is so powerful I usually don't even use the pusher except to cover the top so your ceiling doesn't get covered with stuff. Other reviewers have mentioned that tendency. What wasn't mentioned is that the reason it does that is because the motor is so beefy that stuff will shoot straight up.
When juicing soft stuff I immediately cover the top with my hand.
The design of this thing is absolutely first rate. Even down to the plug, which has a moulded loop so that it is easy to unplug and plug in! No tool is required to remove the basket, as in most other juicers. Breville uses a combo of ingenious design and magnets to hold it in place!
Ease of use and fit and finish is perfect.
Clean up is really a 2 minute operation and I don't even own a dishwasher. It will stain eventually, as every juicer I have ever owned does. Carrot juice would make a great dye :-)
The pulp on this juicer is a bit wetter than the Jack LaLanne. The "Jack" had a much larger basket and a much slower rotation. I believe that may account for it. But it isn't much wetter - just very slightly.
This juicer makes much smaller pieces of pulp though - and my experience so far has been that it gets just as much juice from a pound of carrots.
Bottom line - I can't imagine anyone not loving this unit.
UPDATE 3/26/2011 This thing is still going strong 3.5 years later. Folks I buy carrots by the 25 pound bag so I am HARD on juicers. And not one part has needed replacement!
