I had misgivings about this juicer because I could find no previous review, and reviews of its stainless steel counterpart were mostly bad. Still I felt that its cast iron base, and its larger, more comfortable handle might make it a worthwhile purchase.
I was seriously disappointed. The juicer is reputed to exert 2000 pounds of pressure on an orange---but I found that I had to exert about 60 pounds on the handle to get it to completely close over the orange. The orange itself looked crushed, tortured, scourged, flayed, and incompletely split into messy quarters, but considerable juice was still in the pulp.
Worse, the handle is not located over the orange, but is off center, so that when I squeezed the second orange, the pressure on the handle caused the whole machine to pull off its suction cups and tip over to the right, spilling juice all over the machine and floor. there was no reason to believe that this scenario will not repeat itself each time I use this machine.
The machine has therefore been nicely repacked in its carton and is on its way back to Amazon.com.
